La Tsigane - on the road with Tamerantong

 
This 52-minute documentary recounts the adventure of the Tamèrantong troupe, their way of doing things, of fighting, of battling fate, or rather fates, of doing their best every day with the children and young people of the "neighborhoods," so widely criticized by the media, by public opinion, by everyone. Except for Xine and his team, who succeed in this insane gamble of proving that diversity, far from being a defect as many right-thinking people like to claim, is above all an enormous source of wealth... As Xine so aptly puts it: We are rich in our differences...!
A large part of the documentary is devoted to the Slovak epic, to our meeting and everything that followed, from Saint Denis to Rakúsy... Who would have believed it...! Thanks to the director, Sébastien Lefébvre, to Xine, to the entire Tamèrantong team, and to all the wonderful actors and actresses, aged 7 to 17, whom we had the chance to meet and become friends with...
